The AMT option is offered from the mid-level Evolution trim and is only a few thousand rupees more expensive than the Alto K10’s automatic. It is more than ₹50,000 cheaper than the Celerio, but Renault’s service network is not as strong, which becomes a problem in small towns. 

Tata Tiago AMT starts at about ₹6.31 lakh and uses an 86hp, 113Nm 1.2-litre engine. The shifts are smooth in traffic but jerky at crawling speeds. It costs more than the Wagon R 1.0 AMT, but it has more power and offers CNG with AMT, which no Maruti on this list can match.
