And the HP was, in fact, the first Vauxhall to be fitted with a complex, close-ratio, dog leg five-speed Getrag manual gearbox. With its combination of light weight and superior transmission, the HP Firenza was also the Vauxhall with the best acceleration of its day, clocking from 0-60 mph in a blistering 7.6 seconds.
